In ministry, remuneration has often been based on earning a living wage. The church has long used this principle when setting wages for pastors, teachers, and other employed individuals. Unfortunately, ministry wages have been unable to keep up with the rising cost of living or with industry norms particularly in the engineering disciplines. This has made it increasingly difficult for the church to hire top notch engineers to do the technical work of ministry.

At Oncilla, we’ve sidestepped the issue completely by locating most of our trained staff in countries where the cost of living is much lower than it is in North America. Thus we are able to keep our rates low and still pay our team members competitive wages. This strategy directly impacts the rates we charge. For example:

Our project rates are extremely competitive. For example, initial development of the LifeTalk Radio website was quoted commercially at over US$ 80,000.
